With  Buick’s style and quality Builds this was truly one of the all time. Definitely in the top 10 of the True Muscle cars.

In this post, you will see a few Pictures and videos of the build.

Below I will take you through a Few of the steps while we were getting The GSX ready for Paint…

In this Video I explain How to Block sand and use Guide Coat with a  Long Block

In this video, we have the GSX Straight after many hours of Block Sanding its time to do a final tape and Apply the PPG V-Primer ( in this case I will use White simply because the Yellow will Pop better on a white base.

Once the white sealer is applied I take you around the car so you can see the results and we get ready to apply the Yellow Base This Color is a Custom Mix by PPG We had converted to DBC base coat The color Saturn Yellow Is Exclusive to the Buick GSX .

The cars came in two colors White with Black Stripes or Yellow with Black Stripes

Here is the Final walk around when we rolled the Buick into the Direct Sunlight

Here’s one for the Buick fans… a 1970 Buick GSX 455 Stage 1 4-Speed in Saturn Yellow! Buick made 678 of these luxo-rockets in 1970, and they were certainly out of character for the Buick brand.

Producing 360 horsepower and 510 ft. lbs. of torque, these capable street brawlers were running with the fastest Muscle Cars from any manufacturer.

In fact, Motor Trend Magazine clocked a Stage 1 car tripping the lights in 13.35 seconds @ 105.5 mph in ’70, fast enough to be called their quickest test of 1970.

This Video really does a nice job explaining how cool The 1970 Buick GSX 455 Really is
