1972 Wasque Boat
PBC is proud to show off some talent and hard work from an old friend, Bud Gallup. Here we have a 1972 32 foot Wasque boat built in Martha’s Vineyard.
This 1972 Wasque Boat was 1 of 20 models. It was built as a wooden boat on the Vineyard, and the owner had some requests for it so they made a fiberglass mold out of it. It came from New England Coastguards and Bud has spent a lot of time so far (2,500 man hours so far)
1972 Wasque Boat
- Here’s the boat after some work was already done on it
- Here, the 1972 Wasque Boat had some woodwork done and painting just started.
This boat started off as a bare hull, everything on top is brand new and hand built by Bud, even the woodwork, wheel and engine cover. From the top deck and above is brand new.
This 1972 Wasque Boat has a Diesel Cummins 6 cylinder, single prop and there are about 100 more hours of some detailing and painting. It is now being transferred from Ocala to Rhode Island with Bud as he is off to work for a few months.
Check out the video below to see some more of the boat
Stay posted as Bud will be keeping us posted on the progress of the boat in Rhode Island!
