A brief history of the 1935 and 1936 Ford Coupe
The 1935-36 Ford Coupes were the most popular and hot selling models of the 1930’s. A fresh redesign of the Ford V8, the 1935 Ford Model 48 had incredible looks, improved ride, modern built, and important mechanical improvements that made it America’s best-selling automobile in 1935.
The 1936 Ford Coupe Model 68 retained the basic body style and structure of the 1935 model 48 but with new rear fenders and restyled front end. The body style of the 1936 Ford Coupe had a bright chrome finish around the headlamps, grille, and windshield. The outside mounted horns in the 1935 ford models were hidden behind the front fenders in the 1936’s Ford models.
