1966 Cobra Jet for Sale


This is a really clean 1966 Cobra Jet in the British Racing Green with Pearl White Stripes.



This car has a Midstates kit fiberglass body  with  12,ooo adult driven miles on it.


Mike, the current owner, put in $15-20,000 to reproduce the power plant in this car

What You Get with This 1966 Cobra for Sale



The engine is a 460 Ford built by Fastlane out of Arizona and the engine has been balanced and blueprinted -  comes with Dyno sheet (see images below).




At 7,000 ft in Colorado where the car is located, this car has

400 HP and 400 FP Torque measured on the dyno


This means at sea level you're looking at 600-650 HP and a lot more torque.






Cobra Jet aluminum headers with 9.8 compression and were ported, polished, and cc'd. The heads were also flow tested.


It has the aluminum intake with 800 CFM Demon carb



It has a heavy duty C6 automatic transmission built professionally to handle the extra horsepower.


Ford 9 inch 3.0 rear end positraction and 4 wheel disc brakes. The front brakes are 13.5 and rear brakes are 11.5 ----> Dual piston and the brake booster is on the driver side.


The front and rear tires are 275 x 40 x 17



This 1966 Cobra for sale has a 50/5o weight ratio like a Porsche



Has an electronic distributor and MSD ignition box..



All the interior is professionally done, including the trunk, and the dash has the really nice ultra light pro comp gauges.


Comes with a custom made lap cover that snaps in under the dash for the chilly weather.


Additionally, custom door hinge covers are included...


The paint work is really nice, done right in the British racing green with the pearl white stripes.



There are a few stone chips on the front nose. A few little spots - but nothing major. A nice buffing and little touch up to be show quality. Watch the video to see them.





The battery is in the rear tucked under the pass, the hood includes the hinge covers, and there are wings on wind shield and visors that keep the driver and passenger dry and out of the wind.



A few extra goodies are included like a spare steering wheel in a different style and a white convertible top (has never been attached)




Over all, this 1966 Cobra is professional, grade-A work




The original owner spent  $70,000 to build this car....

This Week we have a ’77 Renegade CJ-7 Jeep Restoration in Ocala Florida at Palm Beach Customs

This 1977 Renegade is an automatic with a 304 V8 engine. We say this about all the Jeeps that come through, but seriously, this one might be our favorite!

1977 CJ-7 Jeep from California, Rust Free

This is your chance to own a really nice Jeep.

This Jeep has absolutely no rust! The factory chalk markings were still on the frame  when it arrived from California.

We steam cleaned underneath and painted with black undercoating. The body has been painted with professional grade,  high-quality urethane primer,  high-grade urethane base coat, and high solids clear coat.

The roll bars, front, and rear bumpers were base-coated black and satin clear.

Inside of the tub was coated with a spray-on bed liner, dash and hardtop were painted a gunmetal gray,

and original rims have been two-toned black and gray.

This Jeep has the original 304 V8 automatic engine that has been completely gone through with a fresh rebuild.

Rebuild Includes: 

Re-machined block with all new pistons, new cam and lifters, timing chain, heads all redone, fresh tune up, brand new carb, and electric distributer with 8mm wires.

The engine was broken in with Lucas Break-in oil. Has a new MagnaFlo muffler, ranchero shocks,

and a mild 2 inch lift kit.

The 304 used from '72-'78 has the best performance of all the 304s used in the CJ. Here are some specs on the engine:

  • 4x4 full-time (all-wheel drive permanent Quadra-Trac with center planetary differential), automatic 3-speed gearbox
  • petrol (gasoline) engine with displacement: 4981 cm3 / 303.9 cui, advertised power: 86 kW / 115 hp / 117 PS ( SAE net ), torque: 298 Nm / 220 lb-ft
  • characteristic dimensions: outside length: 3802 mm / 149.7 in, wheelbase: 2375 mm / 93.5 in
  • reference weights: estimated curb weight: 1400 kg / 3090 lbs, gross weight GVWR: 1882 kg / 4149 lb

1935 Ford 5 Window Coupe Original Barn Find

This classic barn find is virtually complete, see the pictures in the post below

It has a rock solid floor, comes complete with rear fenders – which are rarer than hen’s teeth. As you know they are only making them for the 1936 Fords.

Nice straight hood sides and grill.

Here's a history of the 1935 Ford Coupes and some cool original Ford ads that we dug up....

The '35 Ford Coupes were the Model 48 which was an update of the Ford's V8-powered Model 40A

Beginning in 1935, the Model 48 was given a cosmetic refresher each year, begetting the 1937 Ford. The price, practicality, and looks catapulted Ford ahead of  Chevrolet that year, with about 820,000 of the 35s sold that year

To the eye, the 1935 Ford Coupe 5 Window was much more modern with its grille pushed forward with de-emphasized and integrated front fenders. A major difference was an integrated trunk on the trunk-back sedans.



Two trim lines were offered with the 35 Ford - the standard or the DeLuxe, across a number of different body styles from the base roadster, the five-window coupe (above), the three-window coupe, Tudor and Fordor sedans in two versions, a convertible sedan, a woody station wagon and the trucks. Wow!

Additionally, rumble seats were an option with the coupe model. A buyer could also opt for an oil pressure gauge (for an additional $4). Two windshield wipers were also optional. If one got the radio installed, it replaced the ash tray.

“OEM” Jeep Restoration


This is Jeep has an original rust free body - there is ZERO rust - and its repainted with the original “sunshine” yellow color.


We opted to remove the doors and the hood and prep the truck with the original paint sanded.


We found absolutely zero rust which makes this CJ-7 a good candidate for a restoration...


Then we applied 2 part urethane grade primer.

Next step was to sand out the primer up to 320 grit. The hood had a few dings in it so we repaired with minimal filler



This is what we call a 3/4 restoration doing a nice clean well executed Job with out Braking the bank ..with out  doing a complete tear down ..and making the CJ-7 Un- affordable to many



OUR goal is to Make it so Everyone can afford  ! and build with moderate 2 inch lift and 33 in tires something that looks cool and still goes down the highway Nicely

The doors, you will see pictures, were rock solid. So we stripped them down, removing all old weather stripping. Then just about every CJ-7 door I’ve seen has a little fatigue crack on the inside next to the vent window. So that was prepped, MIG welded and body worked so you can’t tell as well as all new seam sealer applied on the factory seams.



FYi It Requires 16 hour just to strip paint and rebuild 2 doors ... Yeas 2 days labor ...

 Do you think its a good Idea to rebuild the doors and install new weatherstrips ? look how brittle they are after 30 plus years in service

This is the full weatherstripping kit we use on the door rebuild




After this work was done we followed the same procedure with the high-build urethane primer and prepped ready for base coat, clear coat. The doors have all new gaskets and brand new door locks with a set of matching keys. As well as a new set of stainless steel hinges for the doors, brand new stainless mirrors that are really cool.

This Jeep I chose to leave all the factory fusion welds from the factory assembly as is. This Jeep will be perfect for a real Jeeper. As you’ll see, in the following pictures and descriptions, we chose to restore this Jeep as a ¾ restoration to keep the buy-it price reasonable.

There was no reason to strip this CJ-7 down and do a nut and bolt restoration.


The suspension was brand new Rough County 2 in lift


 sheetmetal, the body mounts, and all are in great shape.


rotors and pads were brand new as well as we replaced the front Brake hoses



If you’re looking for a nut-and-bolt restoration and you want to spend triple the money, we Be more than happy to do that for you


Check out this project here that took 500-hours to build to see what a complete restoration looks like.



We also replaced the front windshield frame with a new window gasket and a lower cowl seal, cleaned up and greased all wiper linkage. The reason that we had to do that was that someone installed the light bar fog lights and drilled into the side of the original window frame – it just wasn’t pretty so we opted to replace that.

This Jeep has a 6 cylinder with great compression and around 130k miles all gone through with new plugs, wires, fuel pump, air filter, oil change, new alternator, serp. belt, antifreeze, differential oil... brakes are awesome in excellent shape.

Brand new rough country leaf springs, new set of shocks, awesome exhaust with a stainless steel catalytic converter, with the 6 cylinder header with the exhaust custom bent to fit into the cat. Sounds beautiful.





Nice set of rims with the black satin & New 33 x 12.50 R 15 LTs Pro Comp tires. Comes with a spare, but it’s not a matching spare.

The CJ-7 Jeep was steam cleaned and the bottom was prepped (no rust) and then we chassis blacked with black satin underneath of the floors, the frame, and differentials. We just sprayed undercoating on the wheel tubs, not under the floors so that you can see they are OEM originals.

High Quality paint, wetsand, and buff...


We took everything out of the Jeep before painting. We then sealed it with 2-part Debeer urethane primer that we use on the custom car builds. Then it was wet sanded before we put on 4 coats of yellow base and 3 coats of high grade urethane clear ultra-fined and buffed at 1500 up to 3000 in a 3-stage buff.

The hard top has been cleaned up – it had no cracks in it. We took off the tint that wasn’t looking that good, cleaned the glass, shot the top with the black satin.

We have a decent set of seats with a console in there, custom tan at about 90% - they are not perfect but they are more than acceptable.

We did this as an OEM restoration – in other words – this is for the Real Jeep people that understand that we didn’t build this out like a Rolls Royce and take out every little wave. We left the original fusion welds in the quarters. So it’s factory – no bondo – except for in the hood in the few spots
