The CJ-7 was made during the production years ’76 – ’86. More advanced and sporting a longer wheelbase (10 inches longer – 93.3 in), the CJ-7 was a stunner. Keeping the Jeep legend from the world war, this jeep is also used for Rock climbing and Mud racing.

During its reign of 11 years, more than 370,000 units were built. Apart from the standard model, it was also available in the Laredo and Renegade models.

Its features include – 2 parallel C section rails, springs and shock absorbers in the rear section of the chassis and an all-drive system known as Quadra-Trac.

A version with automatic transmission was also available while the normal transmission ranged from 145 cu – 304 cu in with either an l4, l6 or a V8 under the hood.

Some limited edition jeeps like the ’82 Jamboree Commemorative Edition and the ’82 – ’83 Limited were also introduced.

Everything about this jeep was reminiscent of a tough era of war and hence this jeep was made to be remembered.
