Warranty
Titan Engines will cover all internal lubricated parts included in the purchased long block for
*3 years and unlimited miles if installed in cars and light duty trucks
*18 months, unlimited miles for commercial and marine use
*12 months, unlimited miles on HO, High Performance and Stroker Engines
Street Strip, Racing Series and short blocks: No warranty due to the nature of use they are intended for
This warranty covers manufacturer and parts defect only, to be determined by Titan Engines inspection. If deemed to be a non-manufacturing fault, a fair assessment of re-manufacture cost will be provided. If customer denies offer to rebuild all parts will be returned to customer.
If you have a problem with your engine within the prescribed period contact Titan Engines with an explanation of the problem you are having. You will be given a return authorization. You will be responsible for having the engine ready for pick up. This means engine will be strapped safely to a pallet and you will provide us with an email address to send you shipping documents. At this time we will pay the freight for pickup.
The engine will be disassembled and appraised. We will determine the reason for the failure.
If the failure is related to workmanship or failure of lubricated parts Titan Engines will repair or replace the engine. We will also pay return freight. The maximum payout for labor involved to any purchaser is $400.
If the failure is the result of any of the following or is listed under Exclusions Titan will charge the customer for the repair, freight and will not pay any labor:
A Overheating (heat tab bulging or melting)
B Lack of lubrication (running out of oil and or coolant)
C Camshaft lobe or lifter wear on flat lifters
D Detonation of a piston—burned pistons or holes in pistons
E Dirt found in assembly
F This warranty does not cover gaskets and seals
G Lack of proper break in procedures and break in oil
H Storage of engine—Non use
We do not authorize any field labor. This means we do not pay labor for your engine to be repaired at another facility.
This warranty does not cover towing, vehicle rental, oil, oil filter, loss of use, loss of time , lost wages, personal damages, per diem expenses, storage fees, medical expenses, telephone or rental charges etc. The limits of this warranty are simply stated above. Repairs or replacements do not extend or renew warranty. This warranty will be void and will not apply to defects or failures caused by over-revving, accident, abuse or an operation for which it was not designed, alteration, either drive train or suspension from the original manufacturers specifications, dirty or improper installation, overheating or freeze cracks to the block or heads, rust or corrosion. Failure to maintain proper coolant, fluid, or lubrication levels, fire, flood, vandalism, theft, collision, acts of God, competition or racing, usages not approved by the Vehicle manufacturer, improper load capacity, or improper towing, damages caused by contaminated fluids, coolants, or lubricants for any reason, misuse, road conditions, riots or acts of war. Excessive oil consumption and diminished performance are not covered. Leaking seals, gaskets or fittings are not covered. Vehicle components that require normal manufacturer’s recommended replacement intervals are not covered.
Transfer of warranty will be allowed only if engine is purchased by automotive businesses for direct sale to customer
Engine- The following components of gasoline or diesel engines are covered: pistons, piston pins, piston rings, crankshaft and main bearings, connecting rods and rod bearings, camshaft bearings, intake and exhaust valves, valve springs, oil pump, push rods, rocker arms, and rocker arm shafts. The engine block and cylinder heads are covered only if damaged by a Covered Component. Cracks are not covered under this warranty.
Seals & Gaskets: Seals and gaskets are replaced only as part of repair or
replacement of Covered Components. Leaking gaskets or seals are not covered.
Labor: Labor for covered repairs will be paid one time only with the maximum payout of $400.
Replacement Parts (Including Engine): In case of a total breakdown of a part or engine, our obligation is limited to repairing or replacing broken
Covered Components. It is our decision to replace the engine or to
replace parts that are covered under this contract. Replacement of any parts or engine will be done only once under this contract.
Administrator’s Right To Terminate Benefits: In the event of a claim,
Administrator reserves the right to terminate the benefits of this product warranty upon the discovery of fraud or misrepresentation of a material fact by the Purchaser or the Purchaser’s representative. Evidence of fraud or misrepresentation is forwarded to the proper state and federal authorities. Any Vehicle used in the commission of a crime will have all benefits terminated.
All claims or disputes relating to this Product Warranty Agreement or the
breach thereof shall be decided by binding arbitration unless you or us agree otherwise. Arbitration shall be specifically enforceable under the prevailing arbitration law. We agree to use 1 arbitrator mutually acceptable to you and us, and arbitration must be held in Marion County, Florida. Written notice of the request for arbitration must be filed with us no later than 1 month after the claim or dispute arises. The award rendered by the arbitrator shall be final and judgment may be entered upon it in accordance with applicable law in any court having jurisdiction. The costs of arbitration if decided upon will be 50% of the cost of the arbitrator by each party. Any other costs will be paid by the warranty
purchaser. If you have any legal claim against Titan Engines, and arbitration is rejected, you agree that any action, claim or suit shall only be brought in the District Court, Marion County, FL. If you bring any such action, claim or suit against us in any court or forum other than in Marion County Florida, we can seek dismissal of your action, claim, or suit and require that it be maintained in Marion County Florida.
This Agreement is a product warranty and is not insurance and is not subject to state insurance laws.
Core returns must be complete and with core tag to ensure proper credit and must be returned within 30 days from date of sale. If extra time is needed please call us for an extension.
